April 18 to April 22, 2011The Nevada Diabetes Association for Children and Adults Camp Vegas for children 7 to 14 and CIT's from 15 to 17 is a co-ed camp at beautiful Mt. Potosi, located approximately 30 miles Southwest of Las Vegas. Nevada. The camp provides a week of activities, education and programs for children with diabetes in Southern Nevada and neighboring Arizona communities. Activities include, arts and crafts, hiking, campfires, sports and games.
Under the direction of NDACA Medical Director Dr. Kathryn L. Eckert, Pediatric Endocrinologist along with a dedicated medical and camp supervisory staff, children learn to self manage their diabetes, share their feelings, and experience fun and fellowship.
ELIGIBILITY
Campers
Children with diabetes age 7 through age 17 who receive medical clearance from their doctor and camp medical director. CIT Program 15 to 17.
Cost for Camp Vegas is US$399.00 including meals, and accommodations (cabins). Camp Scholarships are available.
