The teens can be the hardest years for a young diabetic.  The Injection Connection is a new way to keep these teens focused on proper diabetes care while in a fun, easy-going atmosphere where they are with their peers. Each event will feature a different activity and education that the diabetic teens can learn from.  These programs allow for teens to have one on one interaction with medical professionals that specialize in diabetes and diabetic care.  Teens are able to ask questions that they may normally feel uncomfortable asking in front of their family and friends.  

The Injection Connection is for teens 12-17. Injection Connection events are geared for diabetic teens.   This is a fun way to get support form other diabetic teens and the community.  In addition, teens that attend events may bring one friend as well, thus expanding their support group. Events will be posted on the calendar and about 3-4 events will be hosted in Northern and Southern locations yearly.
