The Nevada Diabetes Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was incorporated in April 1997.and was the result of a merger formed of the Diabetes Educational Center founded in 1980 and the Nevada Children’s Diabetes Association founded in 1996 to meet a broad spectrum of needs for diabetes services in Nevada and neighboring California communities.
Everyone agrees that diabetes is a terrible disease. Everyone hopes for a cure. But, until we find a cure what do we do in the meantime for the children affected by this disease? How can we make their lives better? How can we help prevent the complications that this disease causes? How can we help the families that have to deal with a child who must take multiple shots a day, whose meals must be carefully planned and whose every aspect of life revolves around this condition? How can we stop the growing epidemic of Type 2 diabetes and improve the quality of life for those affected by this insidious condition?
The Nevada Diabetes Association is the only organization in Nevada that provides direct services to children and support for families dealing with diabetes. All funds raised by the NDACA are used to provide local services. Please click this link for information To Volunteer and for a list of our Board of Directors - Meeting dates/ times and Financial
